The Maryland State Police issued the following news release on Monday, July 1, 2024:

On June 29, at approximately 4:43 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to the 900 block of Anne Street for the report of a residential burglary.
According to Takoma Park Police, “Between 9:10 am and 4:43 pm two unknown suspects broke into the victim’s residence by forcing open a rear basement door. Property was stolen. Home video surveillance captured the suspects:
Montgomery County Police has announced that two suspects have been arrested in connection to an armed carjacking and robbery that occurred on Tuesday in Silver Spring.
According to the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office, “Today in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, MD, the Honorable Debbie Dwyer sentenced defendant, Michael Boyd Jr., 40, of Olney, to 90 years in prison suspend all but 55 years to serve and five years of supervised probation upon release. Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division have arrested 30-year-old Samuel Robert Bajard, of an unknown address, with an attempted burglary and a carjacking that occurred on Sunday, June 9, 2024, in the 14100 block of Castle Boulevard in the Burtonsville area.
Per Montgomery County Police: “At approximately 4:24 a.m., 3rd District officers responded to the location for the report of an attempted burglary.
Chief Antonio DeVaul from the Takoma Park Police Department (TKPD) has announced the arrest of Wilson Mickens III, 33, of Silver Spring, Maryland, for stealing an automobile.
