The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) shared its daily crime summary for August 11, highlighting reported incidents including aggravated assaults, auto thefts and multiple catalytic converter thefts across the county.
Crime
A 55-year-old Takoma Park man has been arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder following an assault that left a 47-year-old man critically injured, according to the Takoma Park Police Department.
A New York man wanted on felony domestic violence charges was captured in Montgomery County, last month following a weeks-long, multi-state investigation, according to a press release from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office in Carmel, NY earlier this week.
Montgomery County Police shared an overview of reported calls for service from Monday, August 10, including burglaries, auto thefts, damaged ATMs and the theft of seven catalytic converters.
A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an attempted murder at The Angry Jerk in downtown Silver Spring last month, according to Montgomery County Police. (more…)
