Vinny Cerrato led the Washington Redskins’ personnel department throughout the 2000s as their de facto general manager before parting ways with the team permanently in 2009. Charlie Cerrato, Vinny’s son, was just drafted in the second of the NHL Draft by the Carolina Hurricanes.

A Washington Commanders spokesperson has released a statement after DC Council chairman Phil Mendelson proposed pulling the Commanders stadium deal from the upcoming budget. Noah Brown joined the Washington Commanders in August 2024 and made an immediate impact during his nine starts until a kidney injury cut his season short. Recently, he sustained an injury during minicamp, and while the team hasn’t provided an official update since his MRI, a fan offered some reassurance.

In the 2025 UFL Championship Game, the DC Defenders staged a dramatic second-quarter surge that would define their 58-34 win over the Michigan Panthers. During that quarter alone, the Defenders piled on 31 points while holding the Panthers to a mere six, a shift that ultimately determined the game. Five former Washington Commanders/Redskins players are currently involved with the team.

The Washington Commanders announced in December that Mark Clouse was named Team President, overseeing all facets of the organization’s business operations. ESPN’s John Keim today shared a fun fact about Clouse who has previously overseen iconic food brands– he is the reason Oreo started selling different flavors.
