Pandas Karate, located in Derwood, has launched a fantastic initiative offering free self-defense seminars for Girl Scout troops in Montgomery County. Owner Daniel Amaguana reports that the response has been overwhelmingly positive, with participants enthusiastic about the valuable skills they are learning. The free annual “Christmas on the Farm” event at the Agricultural History Farm Park in Derwood will take place on December 7-8, featuring hayrides, farm animals, crafts, holiday music, and refreshments from noon to 5 p.m. each day. (more…)
