The NFL decided to move the Washington Football Team/Philadelphia Eagles game from today to Tuesday Night after the WFT’s Covid-19 List grew to over 20 players on Friday.
A new agreement will require Covid tests for unvaccinated players only unless a vaccinated player is experiencing symptoms, which should keep further postponements or cancellations from occurring.
Update 3:30pm: The NFL has moved the game between the Washington Football Team and Philadelphia Eagles to Tuesday night at 7pm.
Washington Football Team starting quarterback Taylor Heinicke has been added to the team’s Covid-19 list this morning, per Ian Rappaport.
Over a third of the Washington Football Team has been placed on the team’s Covid-19 list, which is now up to 21 players after 3 players were added earlier today (safety Kam Curl and centers Tyler Larsen and Keith Ismael).

Almost a third of the Washington Football Team has been placed on the team’s Covid-19 list, which is now up to 18 players after 8 players were added earlier this afternoon.
Kendall Fuller has joined the list of Washington football players to be placed on the team’s Covid-19 list, making it 10 total for the Football Team.
In addition to playing for the Football Team, Fuller has additional local ties– he attended Good Counsel where he played football and participated in track & field.
The Washington Football Team was without four of its top defensive ends for this past Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys (3 due to being on the NFL’s Covid-19 list).

The NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero has reported that a Tier 3 staffer with the Washington Football Team has tested positive for the Onicron variant of Covid-19. This is the first known case of the variant in the NFL.
The Washington Football Team has won four games in a row to put them in the 6th (of 7) playoff spots in the NFC. A win today against the rival Dallas Cowboys would put them within a game of the division, but they’ll have to give it their best without their top 4 defensive ends.
Chase Young suffered a season ending injury earlier this year and Montez Sweat was dealing with a broken jaw that landed him on injured reserve. There was hope he’d be available to play prior to being placed on the Covid-19 list earlier this week.
