Back in January 2024 we let you know that Eggspectation, a restaurant that serves “elevated American cuisine with a lengthy all-day breakfast menu alongside hearty lunch and dinner fare”, is returning to Montgomery County with its upcoming Burtonsville location (15763 Old Columbia Pike). The restaurant is now set to open on Tuesday, June 17th, according to an announcement made on social media by the restaurant.
The Burtonsville Access Road project provides for the construction of approximately 1,400 linear feet of new roadway with two lanes and parking on the westbound side located in Burtonsville, Maryland.
Mattress and More Liquidators, located at 15595 Old Columbia Pike, is hosting a “Goodbye to Burtonsville Day” as the family-owned mattress store prepares to close its doors to make way for Montgomery County’s second Wawa location.

Phowheels is now open at 15707 Old Columbia Pike in the Burtonsville Crossing shopping center (currently in a soft opening phase until Friday, April 18th). It’s the DMV and Maryland’s first drive-thru Vietnamese restaurant, though indoor seating is also available. Our very own Mr. MoCo stopped by to give you a first look at the restaurant (video below).
Tuan Vo is the proud owner of Phowheels, a unique Vietnamese culinary venture. Raised in Montgomery County, he attended White Oak Middle School and Springbrook High School, and currently resides in Burtonsville. Phowheels has announced that the DMV’s first drive-thru Vietnamese restaurant will open at Burtonsville Crossing on Friday, April 18th (it will also feature the option to dine-in).
