MCPD is investigating a shooting that occurred Monday night in Fairland in which a teenage male was shot in the thigh while walking on a footpath, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a three-vehicle collision on the 100 block of Randolph Road, near Sherwood Forest Dr. in Colesville, on Thursday morning. The crash, which occurred at approximately 7:48am, involved a vehicle fire and required the extrication of trapped individuals.

A 62-year-old Laurel man has been arrested nearly 30 years after the 1995 shooting death of Denna Fredericka Campbell, a D.C. Metropolitan Police officer, in the White Oak apartment they shared.
This year, the Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Cloverly/Silver Spring will hold its annual Greek festival from Friday, September 5th, to Sunday, September 7th. The festival will be open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
