A BizJournals report from earlier this month states that “signs point to an Amazon Fresh reboot” in White Oak. This comes after Amazon Fresh appeared to pull out of a planned 41,000 SF market in White Oak Town Center after it took the place of a planned Trader Joe’s location in 2022. Amazon Fresh also removed signage from a nearly completed Shady Grove Rd. location last year as it paused or cancelled dozens of stores across the country, many of which were also already built.

A police chase in that began in Beltsville, MD in Prince George’s County and involved a stolen roadside assistance truck, ended in the area of Burnt Mills Park in White Oak on Friday evening when the driver was taken into custody.

Per Adventist Healthcare: “Adventist White Oak Medical Center (WOMC) rang in the new year with the birth of the hospital’s first baby of 2024.
Maryland state senator William C. Smith, Jr. (D-20) visited Adventist HealthCare White Oak Medical Center earlier this month to acknowledge the hospital’s efforts in earning an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group during the Fall 2023 rating cycle. This marks the second consecutive time White Oak Medical Center has received an “A” safety grade.
