MudFest 2024 is taking place on June 15th from 11am until 3pm at the Woodstock Equestrian Special Park, 20207 Darnestown Road, in Beallsville.
The Montgomery County Agricultural Fair returns Friday, August 9th and will run through Saturday, August 17th at the fairgrounds in Gaithersburg. This will be the 75th annual fair and its fourth year back after having to cancel for the first time in its 70+ year history in 2020 due to Covid restrictions. The City of Rockville’s Hometown Holidays Music Fest is in its second day today at RedGate Park (14500 Avery Road) in Rockville and fans are pouring in to catch a performance by alternative rock band Everclear, whose career spans four decades and many memorable hits.
Lisa Loeb was born in Bethesda and lived here for a couple years before moving to Dallas, TX where she was raised. 30 years ago, her career began with her number one single “Stay (I Missed You)” from the film Reality Bites. It’s also the first Billboard number one single for an artist without a recording contract. Later in her career, Loeb achieved two additional top 20 singles with “Do You Sleep?” in 1996 and “I Do” in 1998. Her studio albums include two back-to-back albums that were certified gold: Tails and Firecracker.
