Montgomery Parks is hosting the second annual Sligo Creek Fest on Saturday, May 3 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Held on a portion of Sligo Creek Parkway that is closed to vehicular traffic on weekends, the festival will feature musical performers on three stages, as well as nature activities, kid’s activities and a variety of local food and brewery options.

Beyond Comics at 18749 N Frederick Ave in Gaithersburg will celebrate Free Comic Book Day on Saturday, May 3 from 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM, with free comics, a food drive benefiting the Frederick Food Bank, and a special appearance by comic creator John Watkins Chow.

In an exciting celebration of cultural diversity, Adobo is set to make its mark as the inaugural event at the new Plaza Stage located at Nationals Park on Saturday, May 3rd. This multicultural dance party, founded by Montgomery County’s very own Pedro Night and Walter Alvarado, draws inspiration from the vibrant communities of the DMV area, particularly Montgomery Village and Gaithersburg.
