Montgomery Parks is offering a variety of events throughout the month of February to commemorate Black History Month. They can be seen below:
On Jan. 23, at 5:30pm, Montgomery County Public Schools in partnership with Asian American Health Initiative, Montgomery County Government (DHHS) will have a brief movie screening of the film, Silent Wars, followed by reflection from one of the individuals in the film, and a moderated panel discussion at Wootton High School.
High School seniors are invited to participate in the regional “on-the-spot” admissions event on Jan. 11 from 6pm- 8pm at Seneca Valley High School.
Westfield Montgomery Mall will host celebrated D.C. artist Maggie O’Neill for a festive pop-up art gallery and shopping experience near Nordstrom from 12pm to 6pm on Saturday, December 16. The mall will also be hosting cookie decorating with Santa on Saturday.
The celebration will be held from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13 at Rockville High School, 2100 Baltimore Road.
