Vinny Cerrato led the Washington Redskins’ personnel department throughout the 2000s as their de facto general manager before parting ways with the team permanently in 2009. Charlie Cerrato, Vinny’s son, was just drafted in the second of the NHL Draft by the Carolina Hurricanes.

CNN has released its “America’s Best Towns to Visit 2025” list of ten cities across the country. CNN considered hundreds of candidates and winnowed the list to 10 by evaluating the finalists’ attractions, food and beverage offerings, cultural and nightlife scenes, diversity, sense of identity, proximity to other interesting spots and wow factor. Annapolis, our state capital, came in ranked #5 overall.

On Friday, Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich criticized the Supreme Court’s decision in Trump v. CASA, stating it weakens protections for immigrants by limiting nationwide injunctions and threatens the principle of birthright citizenship guaranteed under the 14th Amendment.

WSSC has extended and enhanced its Get Current water bill assistance program, now running from July 1 through October 31, 2025, to support eligible customers with past-due balances as of June 1. The updated program offers partial debt forgiveness, waives late fees and turn-on charges, and provides expanded payment plans and high bill adjustments for qualifying residential, commercial, and multi-unit customers.
