Attorney General Anthony G. Brown and a coalition of 20 other attorneys general obtained a preliminary injunction blocking the Trump administration’s plan to dismantle the U.S. Department of Education, including mass layoffs and service transfers, arguing the move was unlawful without congressional approval.

Governor Wes Moore announced that SJ Incorporation will open a manufacturing facility in Cascade, Maryland, expected to create 300 jobs over the next four years. The company will produce medical products at the site, located at the redeveloped Fort Ritchie.
