Now, O’Donnell’s Market operates at 1073 Seven Locks Rd. in the Potomac Woods Plaza (Rockville/Potomac, MD). With up to 40% of America’s native animal species at risk of extinction and millions of pets in households across the country relying on our support to survive, the non-profit organization SmileHub today released a new report on the Best and Worst States for Animals in 2025. Maryland came in ranked as the third worst (from second worst last year).

The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGCPD) Homicide Unit arrested and charged a suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of his friend on Saturday in Beltsville. The suspect is 18-year-old Kimaury Kamara of Mt. Holly Spring, PA. He’s charged with manslaughter in connection with the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Derrick Palmer of Beltsville, who we are told was a student at Kennedy High School in Silver Spring.

According to Maryland’s sports wagering program, Maryland’s sports wagering market had its ninth-best single-month performance in April 2025, generating $6,359,834 in contributions to the state.


Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown announced that seven individuals have been indicted for alleged involvement in two organized groups linked to a series of armed robberies, attempted robberies, and other crimes targeting bank customers across multiple Maryland counties from August 2023 to July 2024. Authorities say the investigation uncovered a pattern of incidents involving firearms and the use of force, resulting in the theft of over $155,000. (more…)
