The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will begin a resurfacing project on MD 28 (Norbeck Road) between MD 586 (Veirs Mill Road) and Bauer Drive in the city of Rockville tonight. Weather permitting, all work is expected to be complete by the end of the month.

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT HSA) has released additional information on the closure of the merge lane from the local lanes to the main lanes of northbound I-270 at Shady Grove Road, which is part of the next phase of the agency’s ramp metering project in Gaithersburg. The closure will support the installation of a ramp metering system at the I-370/MD 200 interchange, with paving and intermittent lane closures scheduled through summer 2025.

Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown announced a Final Order against Heather and Ryan Delaney of Maryland State Doulas, LLC for violating the Consumer Protection Act by accepting payments for doula services they failed to provide. The order includes a $606,500 penalty, restitution to affected consumers, and a requirement to post a $250,000 bond before accepting future payments.
