Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports and famous for his “One Bite” pizza reviews, visited Frank’s Pizza & Pasta at 6620 Belair Rd in Baltimore earlier this year to sample their offerings. Since his visit, customers have been lining up down the block before the restaurant opens, eager to savor the pizza and cheesesteak that Portnoy rated so highly.

On Friday, Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown announced that Racquel Britt Davis, 51, was sentenced by Judge Robert E. Cahill, Jr. for felony theft after submitting 18 fraudulent claims for short-term disability and accident supplemental insurance while employed as a correctional officer, and she has been ordered to pay $50,251.66 in restitution.

Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown announced that a federal judge issued a temporary restraining order requiring 18 federal agencies to halt illegal mass layoffs of probationary employees and reinstate those fired by 1:00 p.m. on March 17, 2025. The Maryland Office of the Comptroller reported that the state collected nearly $73 million in tax revenue from adult-use cannabis sales in 2024, with $17.6 million generated in the final quarter.
