A pair of coywolves, also known as eastern coyotes, were spotted moving together Thursday afternoon in the Burtonsville area, according to Tim Pruss of MyDronePro, who encountered the animals while searching for a lost dog (video below).

Dangerously cold conditions are expected across the region this weekend, with the National Weather Service warning that wind chills will drop well below zero during overnight hours.

According to the National Weather Service, a Cold Weather Advisory is in effect from 8 p.m. this evening through 11 a.m. Saturday. In addition, an Extreme Cold Watch has been issued for Saturday night. Wind chills as low as 5 degrees below zero are expected, creating hazardous conditions for anyone spending time outdoors.


Maryland Attorney General Anthony G. Brown has joined a coalition of 20 attorneys general in filing an amicus brief opposing efforts by the Trump administration to terminate the Flores Settlement Agreement, a 1997 court agreement that governs the treatment of children in immigration custody.
