In a major move for a local talent, Montgomery County native Katie Feeney has been hired by ESPN as a Sports & Lifestyle Content Creator. Feeney, who has amassed a large following on social media (14 million +), will bring her unique perspective to some of the network’s top shows. Her new role was announced on Monday, August 4, 2025 by Adam Schefter.

On Sunday evening, the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office announced that Catherine Ashley Hoggle, 38, of Clarksburg, had been indicted by a Montgomery County Grand Jury on two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of her children, Sarah and Jacob Hoggle. A few months back, Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports and famous for his “One Bite” pizza reviews, visited Frank’s Pizza & Pasta at 6620 Belair Rd in Baltimore earlier this year to sample their offerings.  After his visit, customers began lining up down the block before the restaurant opens, eager to savor the pizza and cheesesteak that Portnoy rated so highly. Today, we tried it.

Motorists Can Expect Overnight Single-Lane Closures; Drivers Urged to Plan Extra Drive Time During Work Hours

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration began resurfacing MD 191 (Bradley Boulevard) in both directions between 6421 Bradley Boulevard and Bradmoor Drive in Bethesda on July 24. The work is expected to be completed by mid-September, weather permitting.


In a nation where the legality of various unconventional items often sparks debate, Maryland holds a unique distinction… it is the only state in the United States that completely prohibits the private ownership of flamethrowers. While other states may have regulations or permit requirements, Maryland’s stance is absolute.
