Montgomery County has 39 companies on this year’s Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America—the most of any jurisdiction in the state of Maryland. According to ThinkMoCo, Montgomery County’s Economic Development Corporation, “companies on this prestigious annual list are ranked according to overall percentage revenue growth from 2020 through 2023.”

An 20-year-old Elkridge, MD man has been indicted by a Montgomery County grand jury on charges related to a 2023 fatal collision on Montrose Rd. and Hitching Post Ln in Rockville.
On Saturday, at approximately 5:52 p.m., 3rd District officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel responded to the location for the report of a single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle in White Oak. 30-year-old Christian Ronaldo Guillen, of Silver Spring, was killed in the crash and now the community is rallying to support his family with burial costs and other expenses. As of Tuesday afternoon, just over $1,000 has been raised through a GoFundMe fundraiser.
Shane Lee, who is a Montgomery County native from Burtonsville, signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent this past spring after three years at Alabama and his senior year at USC. As Lee took a knee after practice on Thursday, Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh brought Lee’s parents out for an emotional reunion before his father Mark Lee spoke to the team (clip below).
