The personal-finance website WalletHub today released its report on the Best & Worst Community Colleges, along with its ranking of the States With the Best & Worst Community Colleges. Maryland came in ranked first in states with the best Community College system, with Montgomery College ranked #10 among all community colleges in the country and the highest in Maryland.

On Thursday, Governor Wes Moore announced that the Maryland Higher Education Commission has awarded $18.75 million in campus safety grants to Maryland’s colleges and universities, including Montgomery College. The grants will help facilitate on-campus public safety infrastructure improvements. (more…)

Montgomery College  announced earlier this month that 820 Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) students are participating in Montgomery Can Code camps. Montgomery Can Code is a “unique and innovative public-private partnership formed by Montgomery College, MCPS and the Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation (MCEDC)—in collaboration with Apple” that offers middle school students in Montgomery County an opportunity to learn computer coding.
