The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has released additional information regarding a fatal crash in North Bethesda where a 22-year-old motorcyclist died after being struck by a minivan on Rockville Pike near Tuckerman Lane.
8:54 Update by MCPD: “This collision is being investigated as a fatality. The driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene. Roads are closed north and southbound Rockville Pike at Tuckerman Lane. Please seek an alternate route.”
Coming soon signage is up for Mui, a modern Japanese-inspired restaurant at North Bethesda’s Pike & Rose. The 8,506 square foot restaurant will be located at 967 Rose Avenue, next to West Elm.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a fire at 5100 Crossfield Court, near Braxfield Court, at the Bethesda Park complex in Rockville at approximately 4pm.
Montgomery Parks will shine a light on stories of the brave women of the Underground Railroad and the history of a 200-year-old former Quaker plantation in its September and October History Hour lecture series. Federal Realty has announced that Rockville’s Bao Bei will open at Montrose Crossing in Rockville. What began as a “ghost kitchen” (a restaurant without dining space and no visible storefront, where food is typically sold through third party delivery apps) in 2022, Bao Bei features a variety of Taiwanese street food dishes from baos to hearty bowls, side dishes and more. Chef Kevin Hsieh, a 2013 graduate of Gaithersburg High School, curates a dining experience that preserves tradition and offers authentic Taiwanese flavors.

Construction is ongoing for Bouboulina, the upcoming full-service American grill influenced by Mediterranean cuisine at 915 Meeting St. at Pike & Rose. The restaurant, which is being opened by the founders of CAVA, has a hearing for its liquor license with Montgomery County’s Alcoholic Beverage Services (ABS) on Thursday, September 5th at 11:30am.
