Safeway has officially closed its store at 1800 Rockville Pike, located on the ground level of the Galvan at Twinbrook complex. The store ceased operations sometime last week, and signage has now been removed.

The City of Rockville is considering the annexation of 107.9 acres near the Shady Grove Metro Station, with final approval tentatively set for July 21. Connie Britton, born Constance Elaine Womack in Boston, Massachusetts, moved to Rockville, Maryland, as a baby and spent her first seven years there, living near Norbeck Road and Bel Pre Road. Currently, she is co-starring in the number one movie on Netflix, The Life List.
