In 2011, ISI Elite Training founder Adam Rice opened his first facility in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Adam selected the name ISI Elite Training based on Proverbs 27:17: “Iron Sharpens Iron, as one person sharpens another.” Now, the training facility has signed on to open its first Montgomery County location in the Traville Village Center in Rockville.
In May, we shared that Yummy Bowl Mongolian Stir-fry and Sushi would be opening at 2010 Veirs Mill Rd in Rockville. The restaurant is moving forward with interior work, and the permanent exterior signage was recently installed.
Nothing Bundt Cakes has signed on at Edmonton Crossing, according to Paraclete Realty. It will be taking over the space that was the longtime home of Sun’s Carpet and Floors at 1032 Rockville Pike, between Uptown Cheapskate and Angkor Nails and Spa.
The DMV’s first Torchy’s Tacos is set to host its soft opening on September 29th and 30th, from 10am-8pm. A QR code currently displayed at the restaurant’s entrance allows guests to reserve their spot for the soft opening by directing them to an online registration page.
In September 2021, we let you know that Gregorio’s Trattoria would be opening its third MoCo location, and fourth overall, at Park Potomac- taking over the space that was previously home to Sugo. Sugo closed its doors permanently last in the summer of 2021. The restaurant is now officially open.

Montgomery Parks will shine a light on stories of the brave women of the Underground Railroad and the history of a 200-year-old former Quaker plantation in its September and October History Hour lecture series. Park historians will present the sessions on September 19 and October 17, from 6 – 7 p.m. at Josiah Henson Museum and Park.
