Last October we let you know that Kusshi Sushi officially signed on to take over the space that was home to popular sushi restaurant Sushi Damo at 36G Maryland Ave in Rockville Town Square for over 15 years. According to co-owner Wesley Yao, the restaurant is aiming for an early July opening.

The cookie shop will be taking over the location that was the longtime home of Berry Cup, next to the vacant space that’s wrapped in HalfSmoke signage (presumably no longer coming to Rockville Town Square). Berry Cup Closed in the summer of 2022.

In the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, MD, before judge Marielsa Bernard, a jury has found defendants, Callen Baker, 20, of Jefferson, MD, and Zachary Ciccantelli, 24, of Rockville, MD, guilty on charges related to a shootout on Monroe Street in Rockville on March 1, 2023. The jury returned a guilty verdict on 18 counts of first-degree assault, conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, use of a firearm in commission of a crime of violence and reckless endangerment.
