In a state celebrated for its diverse culinary scene, one restaurant stands out as the sole recipient of a prestigious international honor for Italian cuisine. Il Pizzico, a long-standing Italian eatery at 15209 Frederick Rd. in Rockville, Maryland, previously earned a “forchetta” (or fork) from Gambero Rosso, a renowned Italian food and wine magazine. The Planet Aid thrift store and donation center at 5520 Randolph Rd in Rockville is preparing to close its doors, with plans to relocate to a new, nearby space. While the exact closing date is not yet confirmed, the organization expects to cease operations at its current location sometime in September.

A 26-year-old Germantown man, Oliver H. Gregg, was arrested Tuesday afternoon after allegedly exposing himself at the Rockville Library and then assaulting a police officer who attempted to place him under arrest.
The highly acclaimed No Regrets Pizza has officially signed a lease to expand its operations at its current location within Harwood Flats. The pizzeria, which opened in May 2024, will be taking over the vacant space directly behind their existing establishment, paving the way for some exciting improvements to enhance the customer experience.
