Spring Wine Fling, organized by the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW), will run from March 20 to March 31, offering a two-course dinner with two glasses of wine for $55 at participating restaurants across the DC region. The event showcases seasonal menus with curated wine pairings, providing diners with a unique and affordable dining experience.

Earlier this month, we reported that celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay was filming a television series, possibly Kitchen Nightmares or a similar show, at Callahan’s Seafood Bar & Grill (1808 Rosemont Ave.) in Frederick. Many consider this Tex-Mex eatery to be an even better—and more affordable—alternative to the global giant Chipotle. Since 1962, Jimmie Cone has been a beloved destination for soft serve ice cream and frozen yogurt in Damascus, Maryland (26420 Ridge Rd). Today it opens for its 63rd season, as the iconic ice cream shop continues to delight both longtime fans and new visitors alike. Jimmie Cone also boasts an additional location in Mount Airy (1312 S Main St.), expanding its reach to even more ice cream enthusiasts.

Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports and famous for his “One Bite” pizza reviews, visited Frank’s Pizza & Pasta at 6620 Belair Rd in Baltimore earlier this year to sample their offerings. Since his visit, customers have been lining up down the block before the restaurant opens, eager to savor the pizza and cheesesteak that Portnoy rated so highly.
