In December we let you know that Nash & Smash, a restaurant that serves Nashville hot chicken sandwiches, fried chicken, smash burgers, and more, is coming soon to MoCo. Though construction hasn’t started yet, the restaurant will be coming soon to 10121 Colesville Rd in the Woodmoor Shopping center.
Last year signage was put up at 9332 Georgia Avenue for two businesses that will be coming soon to 9332 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring- Lali Market and Fancy Cakes by Selam.
Earlier this month, WRS, Inc. submitted its Schematic Development Plan application SDP-9736-2024 proposing to redevelop the existing Lakeforest Mall property with 1,600 residential units, 750,000 square feet of employment uses, 250,000 square feet of large format retail, and 220,000 square feet of commercial uses. WRS hired real estate consultant RCLCO to conduct an independent market analysis, which was released this past week.

MOD Pizza, a fast-casual pizza restaurant with over 500 locations nationwide, has closed its Kentlands location at 145 Commerce Square Place. The closure was confirmed by the Rockville location, where a representative told us that the store has already received some of the Kentlands location’s equipment.
