11/9/21 Update: We were told by representatives from HalfSmoke that they are now projecting to open at the beginning of December.
HalfSmoke was the first restaurant of its kind to serve gourmet sausages via an assembly line format. Their sausages and toppings can be fully customized to create over 50,000 variations. Their menu also features craft beer, mac and cheese balls, tater tots, milkshakes, funnel cakes, wine, cocktails, and more.

According to the Bethesda Beat article, “the COVID-19 pandemic reducing store traffic, the redevelopment of Westwood Shopping Center, and being ready for retirement” were the reasons for closing cited by the owner.
Nips Juice House Coming to Silver Spring
Source of the Spring reports that Nips Juice House will be coming this summer to 8710 Cameron St, the former location of Jimmy John’s. Nips currently has one other location at 3261 Plaza Way in Waldorf, MD.
According to the restaurant’s Facebook they will be opening mid-July or August. They will offer indoor and outdoor air-side dining and serve breakfast, lunch, and grab ‘n go sandwiches.
