Little Miner Taco is opening a new stall at The Block in Pike & Rose! We stopped by today for a soft opening event to check out some of what they’re planning to offer.  Their grand opening is tomorrow, July 15 at 2 PM– they have announced that the first 100 customers will get a free T-Shirt!

Little Miner Taco currently has a location in Brentwood, MD as well as a traveling truck that hosts pop up events all around the DMV. Little Miner is best known for their Birria De Res Quesadillas which have braised beef and cheese along with a signature beef consome dipping sauce. These  will appear at their location at The Block, along with a variety of exclusive new items.

What does shopping look like during COVID-19? Different areas have taken unique approaches to keeping shoppers safe. Locations such as Rockville Town Square, Pike and Rose, and Bethesda Row offer curbside pickup for retail items, as well as food. Rio Lakefront and Downtown Silver Spring, in addition to curb-side pickup, are offering shopping by appointment only.  This ensures that stores remain uncrowded and allows for social distancing. Customers are able to call stores that they wish to shop at and set up a time to visit.  Masks are required.

The Pike Center restaurant was the all-you-can-eat chain’s last remaining location in Montgomery County after the Gaithersburg location closed a few years back. There are still nearby locations in Frederick and Hagerstown (Hagerstown is currently listed as temporarily closed).

Pike Center in Rockville has recently lost Pier 1 Imports and Bagel City.
