Medium Rare at 3500 Connecticut Ave in NW, Washington, DC will be holding its annual turkey frying event on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 27) from 11am-4pm in an effort to raise money for Feed the Fridge.
Zaxby’s, the fast-growing chicken chain known for its fried chicken sandwiches, wings, “Zingers,” crinkle-cut fries, and Texas toast, officially opens its first Maryland location on Wednesday, November 12, at 3068 Waldorf Market Place, near the intersection of Route 301 and Berry Road in Waldorf, MD. Terra Gaucha Brazilian Steakhouse, known for its authentic Southern Brazilian churrasco experience, is preparing to open soon in Rockville’s Twinbrook Quarter development, with the restaurant aiming to welcome guests by the end of the year.
Permanent signage is now up for Andy’s Pizza, which will soon open at 145 Commerce Square Place in Gaithersburg’s Kentlands neighborhood. The restaurant takes over the space formerly occupied by MOD Pizza, which closed in March 2024.
Silver & Sons BBQ at 5362 Westbard Ave. in Bethesda will offer complimentary “2×2” platters to veterans and active-duty military personnel on Veterans Day, November 11. Guests who present a valid Military ID may select two mains and two sides, with the offer available for dine-in orders throughout the day. (more…)
A new fast-casual restaurant in Baltimore’s Cross Street Market is quickly making a name for itself, and earning a viral nickname in the process. The Jollof Bowl (1065 S. Charles St.) has been called the “African Chipotle,” offering a build-your-own experience inspired by the vibrant flavors of West Africa.
Signage for Fish Taco, the popular local restaurant known for its Baja-inspired cuisine, went up earlier this year at The Shops of Potomac Valley in Gaithersburg (12121 Darnestown Rd). A representative for the family-owned business shared that interior construction is set to begin soon, with an anticipated opening sometime in spring 2026.
Demolition work is underway inside Lakeforest Mall as crews continue preparing the long-shuttered property for full teardown. Recent photos from inside the building show active interior demolition as the site moves closer to its next phase of redevelopment (photos available below). (more…)
One of Ocean City’s most beloved sandwich spots, and a social media sensation this summer, has officially wrapped up its season. Seaside Deli, known for its stacked subs, quick wit online, and beach-town charm, announced this past week that it has closed for the season and will reopen in March 2026.
