Tatte Bakery & Cafe is continuing its expansion in Montgomery County with its fourth location coming soon to Gaithersburg’s Kentlands neighborhood. The popular bakery and cafe will be taking over half of the space previously occupied by Buca di Beppo at 112 Kentlands Blvd.

Sixty Vines, the Texas-based restaurant known for its wine-on-tap program and vineyard-inspired cuisine, has had a busy first week at its new Downtown Crown location in Gaithersburg. The restaurant officially opened on Monday, October 13, marking its first location in Maryland, and has seen heavy crowds every night since.
Eight new restaurants have been added to the Michelin Guide Washington DC selection this fall, signaling continued growth and diversity in the region’s dining scene ahead of the full awards reveal in November. The Michelin Guide periodically announces new “recommended” restaurants before naming its starred and Bib Gourmand recipients, and this latest update highlights a mix of cuisines and concepts that reflect the city’s evolving food culture.
Four Maryland restaurants have earned a place on The Washington Post’s latest “40 Best Restaurants in and around D.C.” guide, the final installment curated by longtime critic Tom Sietsema, who announced he will be moving on after 25 years at the paper. While not retiring, Sietsema’s departure marks the end of an era in local food writing, and his last guide offers a fitting snapshot of the region’s evolving dining scene, one that extends well beyond the District’s borders.

Hobby Lobby has begun hiring for its upcoming Gaithersburg store, which will mark the company’s first location in Montgomery County. The national arts and crafts retailer has posted job openings for a retail co-manager at 15750 Shady Grove Road, the former longtime home of Best Buy.
Food & Wine recently named Burnt Hill Farm in Clarksburg, Maryland, one of its “12 Stunning U.S. Vineyards to Visit This Harvest Season,” spotlighting the Montgomery County estate alongside some of the nation’s top wine destinations.
