Permanent signage is now up for Andy’s Pizza, which will soon open at 145 Commerce Square Place in Gaithersburg’s Kentlands neighborhood. The restaurant takes over the space formerly occupied by MOD Pizza, which closed in March 2024.
Silver & Sons BBQ at 5362 Westbard Ave. in Bethesda will offer complimentary “2×2” platters to veterans and active-duty military personnel on Veterans Day, November 11. Charles St.) has been called the “African Chipotle,” offering a build-your-own experience inspired by the vibrant flavors of West Africa.
Signage for Fish Taco, the popular local restaurant known for its Baja-inspired cuisine, went up earlier this year at The Shops of Potomac Valley in Gaithersburg (12121 Darnestown Rd). A representative for the family-owned business shared that interior construction is set to begin soon, with an anticipated opening sometime in spring 2026.

Seaside Deli, known for its stacked subs, quick wit online, and beach-town charm, announced this past week that it has closed for the season and will reopen in March 2026.
California Fish Grill is set to officially open its first Maryland location this Monday, November 10th, right here in Montgomery County. The fast-casual seafood spot will open at 12238 Rockville Pike, in the shopping strip across from where TGI Friday’s once stood (video preview available below).
QToys, the popular collectible toy brand from China, has officially opened its first Maryland location at Westfield Montgomery in Bethesda. The new shop is located on the mall’s upper level, right next to Läderach Chocolatier.

The Windy City’s most famous pizza is making its way to the nation’s capital. Chicago-based Giordano’s, known for its legendary stuffed deep-dish pizza, is officially set to open in downtown Washington, D.C., in spring 2026.
Coming soon signage is now up for Guapo’s Taqueria and Charcoal Chicken at the former California Tortilla location at 12211 Darnestown Road in Gaithersburg. The new restaurant will replace the long-running fast-casual Mexican spot, which closed permanently last week.
