A local favorite for generations, Jimmie Cone will close out its 63rd season on Saturday, October 25th, marking the end of another year of sweet memories and classic soft serve in Montgomery County. The seasonal ice cream shop, known for its iconic swirl cones and long summer lines, will keep its pumpkin flavor on the menu through the final day of the season.

Two of the region’s hottest food brands are teaming up for a creative new crossover. After more than a decade of planning, growing, and distilling, DC residents Megan Draheim and David Harris will open Song Dog Farm Distillery on Sunday, October 12, in the heart of the Montgomery County Agricultural Reserve. Located on a 29-acre property at 18100 Bucklodge Road in Boyds, the farm distillery will feature on-site production of bourbon, rye, gin, vodka, liqueurs, and ready-to-pour cocktails. The venue will also include a tasting room, cocktail bar, and host year-round events celebrating local agriculture and craft spirits.
