Red Lobster has announced that it has successfully exited Chapter 11 bankruptcy and is now under new USA-based ownership. In May, many Red Lobster restaurants across the country, including both Montgomery County locations in Gaithersburg and Silver Spring, abruptly closed.

Charleys Cheesesteaks & Wings will open its third Germantown location and sixth overall in Montgomery County at 9721 Frederick Rd. (formerly a standalone Verizon store) in the Fox Chapel shopping center this Tuesday, September 17, at 10 a.m.
Palacio De Peru is set to open at 19222 Montgomery Village Ave in the Montgomery Village Center, taking over the space previously occupied by Moe’s Southwest Grill, which closed at the end of August.
In May, we shared that Yummy Bowl Mongolian Stir-fry and Sushi would be opening at 2010 Veirs Mill Rd in Rockville. The restaurant is moving forward with interior work, and the permanent exterior signage was recently installed.
The DMV’s first Torchy’s Tacos is set to host its soft opening on September 29th and 30th, from 10am-8pm. A QR code currently displayed at the restaurant’s entrance allows guests to reserve their spot for the soft opening by directing them to an online registration page.

Mimi’s Handmade ice cream is now open at the Clarksburg Premium Outlets, taking over the space that was recently home to Melt Cafe and Gelato Bar next to Starbucks.
Baruch Café is set to open in October at 4800 Auburn Avenue in Bethesda, located on the ground floor of the Gallery Bethesda apartment complex.
