Magruder, Quince Orchard, and Sherwood all remain undefeated at 5-0, proving their early-season dominance. Wootton (5-1), Bethesda-Chevy Chase (4-1), and Richard Montgomery (4-1) continue to keep pace as the first chasers in a crowded top tier.

By any measure, this was supposed to be a slugfest… Maryland’s highest ranked public school football team against Virginia’s highest ranked public school football team. Quince Orchard’s latest renewal of its budding interstate rivalry with Stone Bridge (VA) had all the makings of another nail-biter, two perennial powers, both with hard-nosed reputations, clashing in late September. But when the final horn sounded at the Cougar Dome, it was clear there was only one bully left standing.
