Maryland’s sports wagering market generated more than $9.1 million in state contributions during April 2026, according to state gaming officials. Bettors wagered more than $574.2 million during the month and won back approximately $511.1 million in prizes, while sportsbook operators held 11 percent of total wagers. Montgomery Blair High School graduate Patrick Lee, a tech entrepreneur and philanthropist best known as a co-founder of Rotten Tomatoes, will be inducted into the Montgomery Blair Alumni Association Hall of Fame as part of the school’s 2026 Centennial celebration on Saturday, May 16.
