The 11th Annual Harvest Moon Festival will take place at Veterans Plaza in Downtown Silver Spring on Sunday, Sept. 22, from 1-7 p.m. The event features live music, art exhibitions, and family-friendly activities.

A Silver Spring, Maryland man pleaded guilty Thursday before U.S. District Court Judge Deborah L. Boardman to distribution of fentanyl resulting in the death of a Bethesda, Maryland minor victim in January 2022.
The City of Takoma Park Police Department has announced the implementation of a Red-Light Camera Enforcement Program for what the department describes as an effort to enhance traffic safety and reduce the risk of accidents caused by red-light violations. “This initiative aims to deter dangerous driving behavior, improve compliance with traffic signals, and ultimately save lives.”
