Summer Restaurant Week, presented by the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington (RAMW), returns August 18th to August 24th. This biannual event invites you to embark on a culinary journey through the region, from the heart of DC to the vibrant suburbs of Maryland and Virginia.
George Erotokritos Galiachatos, a pillar of the local business community, has passed away at the age of 89. He was the longtime owner of The Lincoln Charcoal Inn in Wheaton, MD, a beloved local landmark for many years and one of the first restaurants in Maryland to feature indoor charcoal cooking.
Last month we let you know that beloved Hong Kong-style dim sum and Chinese cuisine, Hollywood East Cafe will be closing its doors on August 24, 2025 after nearly three decades of serving the Wheaton, MD community. Eater DC has included the upcoming closing in its list of “Saddest DC-Area Restaurant Closings.”
Store closing sales have begun at Claire’s locations, including the Westfield Montgomery Mall store in Bethesda. (more…)
Cinnabon is celebrating its 40th anniversary by offering its Classic Cinnamon Roll for $1.25, the same price as when the bakery first opened in 1985.
