Alert Montgomery has sent a ‘Severe Traffic Alert’ at 1:36pm stating that a “traffic incident closes three right lanes of I-495 Inner Loop Past EXIT 34 Wisconsin AVE (MD 355). Expect significant delays. Seek alternate route.”
Amtrak has announced it’s launching the Floridian, a new temporary route offering a direct round-trip between Chicago and Miami that will take customers to these cities in “comfort and style.” It will include DC area stops, including one in Rockville.

The Metropolitan Area Transportation Operations Coordination (MATOC) program has shared that all inner loop travel lanes are blocked on NB I-495 due to a tractor trailer crash that occurred at approximately 7:30am at the VA-193 (exit 44) overpass.

A multi-vehicle collision has closed a portion of I-270 on Wednesday, September 4.
