The Clarksburg High School Ambassadors leadership club raised over $2,000 to provide 60 Thanksgiving dinners for families in need at Clarksburg High School and Rocky Hill Middle School. The 60-member club collected donations throughout October and November, allowing the schools to identify 60 families who could benefit from additional support during the Thanksgiving holiday. On Tuesday, a Clarksburg man was found guilty of third-degree sex offense by a Montgomery County jury for groping a woman at a 2021 graduation party. He he faces up to 10 years in prison, must register as a sex offender for life, and will be sentenced on December 20, 2024. (more…)


This year, Montgomery County Public Schools, Baltimore City Public Schools and Washington County Public Schools joined Frederick County Public Schools as school districts that implemented girls’ flag football during the Fall 2024 season. The first ever state tournament was held yesterday at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore and Clarksburg High School (MCPS) won the first ever State Championship for Flag Football.
