Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich, County Council President Andrew Friedson, and other officials celebrated the opening of Clarksburg Fire Station #35, a state-of-the-art facility designed to enhance emergency response services for the growing Clarksburg community.

Montgomery Parks’ historic Ovid Hazen Wells Carousel will provide its last ride at Wheaton Regional Park on Sunday, October 27, 2024. After that, the carousel, which has thrilled thousands of children, will be refurbished and relocated to its new home in Ovid Hazen Wells Recreational Park in Clarksburg. Tickets are still available for a nostalgic ride on the carved wooden horses.

The Ovid Hazen Wells Carousel will offer its final rides at Wheaton Regional Park on Sunday, October 27, before being refurbished and relocated to its original intended home at Ovid Hazen Wells Recreational Park in Clarksburg. A new carousel is planned for Wheaton in spring 2025, while the beloved miniature train will continue to operate at the park. (more…)
