Montgomery County Park Police and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a call for a lost hiker around 6pm on Thursday, December 28 in Boyds.
Update: Per MCFRS Spokesperson Pete Piringer: “Park Police UTV & UTV731 located hiker at 7pm. 1 adult being assisted back to roadway/staging, MCFRS EMS evaluating for possible transport before releasing.”

Clarksburg High School has sent out a press release announcing the hiring of a new Varsity football head coach:
Brandon Martin comes to Clarksburg after serving as the Varsity passing game coordinator and special teams coach at Rockville High School this past season. Prior to this season, Coach Martin was the JV Coach at Rockville where he guided the team from a previous 1-7 record to a 5-3 finish. Coach Martin got his start in coaching at Clarksburg HS where he was an assistant coach for three seasons.
If you’ve ever driven on Clopper Rd near Waring Station Rd in Germantown, you’ve likely seen the ruins of a building in the woods. That building is Clopper’s Mill, named for Francis C. Clopper, also the road’s namesake.
The Holiday Mall, initiated three years ago, offers students a chance to gift their family members during the December holiday celebrations. In January, teachers and staff contribute new and gently used gifts, ranging from toys and household items to jewelry and clothing.
