Shane Lee, who is a Montgomery County native from Burtonsville, signed with the Los Angeles Chargers as an undrafted free agent this past spring after three years at Alabama and his senior year at USC. As Lee took a knee after practice on Thursday, Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh brought Lee’s parents out for an emotional reunion before his father Mark Lee spoke to the team (clip below).

A 21-year-old Gaithersburg man is dead following a shooting in Montgomery Village. 20-year-old Oliver Alexis Perez Fierro of Montgomery Village was identified as a possible suspect and the alleged shooter. At approximately 12:15 p.m., Perez Fierro was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Public Safety Headquarters. Police say a mugshot for the suspect is not available.
