Per MCPD: “At approximately 12:49 p.m., officers received a call for a man unconscious, near the initial call, in the 18300 block of Lost Knife Cir. Upon arrival, officers located Alan Garnica of Gaithersburg, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Despite lifesaving efforts, Garnica was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, responders “removed storm grates, in turn scared dog out of pipe to waiting @mcfrs crew at other end.”
