Per the Town of Poolesville: 

The Board of Commissioners is pleased to announce that a new Town Manager has been hired to lead the municipality’s management and operations. Seasoned municipal official Tony Tomasello will serve as Town Manager, effective August 30, 2021. Tomasello was selected from a group of candidates who applied during the recent recruitment process, which was coordinated and conducted by the Town’s Commissioners.

Strathmore to Require Attendees to Provide Proof of Full COVID-19 Vaccination or Negative Test Result

The Music Center at Strathmore at 5301 Tuckerman Ln, North Bethesda announced today that beginning September 7 they will require all attendees to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or negative test results within 72 hours of attending any indoor public performance or event at its complex.

Tipico Dominicano, which started as a food truck on New Hampshire Avenue in Takoma Park and Georgia Avenue in Wheaton, has taken over the recently closed Flor De Luna location at 11417 Woodglen Drive in Rockville.

The restaurant offers Dominican specialties like picadera (finger foods you can eat with your hands), salami frito (fried salami), queso frito (fried cheese), chicken/cheese/beef pastelitos, and more.

Elliot Segal (Elliot in the Morning) to be Inducted Into the Radio Hall of Fame

Elliot Segal, host of Elliot in the Morning on DC101, is going into the Radio Hall of Fame.  Elliot in the Morning debuted in 1999 and is broadcasted from the iheartradio studios at 1801 Rockville Pike in Rockville.


Bethesda

Earlier this month ThinkFoodGroup restaurants in the D.C. region require proof of vaccination to dine indoors for people who are 12 and older.

This includes Spanish Diner, which opened in Bethesda this past May in the location that was formerly home to Jaleo.

Owner of Rockland Farm Responds to Last Week’s Town Hall in Poolesville, Disappointed Rockland Farm was Not Asked to Participate in Meeting

Libby Devlin, owner of Rockland Farm, responded to last week’s town hall meeting in Poolesville regarding White’s Ferry in an op-ed that appeared in the the Loudoun Times-Mirror. The Virginia landing site for White’s Ferry is located on the farm.
