The City of Gaithersburg has once again been recognized for excellence in financial reporting, receiving the Government Finance Officers Association’s (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the 48th consecutive year.

A two-story mixed-use building in downtown Silver Spring has changed hands.

Gaithersburg City planning staff is recommending approval of a major redevelopment plan for Rio-Washingtonian Center that would bring 463 new apartments, more than 41,000SF of retail space, and several new public amenities to the popular Gaithersburg destination.
