A suspected drug dealer and buyer were arrested in downtown Silver Spring after a drug deal led to a police stop, during which the dealer attempted to flee by ramming a police car and was found with over two pounds of marijuana and a stolen handgun. (more…)

Beyond MoCo

Justin Riggs, 35, of Smithsburg, Maryland, who was serving as a Maryland State Trooper, pleaded guilty yesterday to federal charges of Conspiracy to Distribute and Conspiracy to Possess with the Intent to Distribute Controlled Dangerous Substances, Use of a Communication Facility in Causing or Facilitating the Conspiracy to Distribute Controlled Dangerous Substances, and Travel Act-State of Maryland Bribery.

MoCo Government

The Montgomery County Council will hold a public hearing on the Bethesda Downtown Plan Minor Master Plan Amendment on February 26.
