The Arts Barn Legacy Campaign is raising funds to refurbish seating in Gaithersburg’s 99-seat upper-level theater, with a goal of $25,000 toward a $50,000 project, and will host a fundraising event, “Conversations of Love,” on Feb. 28 featuring live music, wine tasting, and a silent auction. Maryland

On Wednesday, the Board of Public Works approved a contract for Fraport Baltimore Partnership, LLC to manage retail and dining services at BWI Airport, with Comptroller Lierman and Governor Moore voting in favor and Treasurer Davis opposing due to procurement concerns. The board also approved $3.6 million for a new state park in Wicomico County and authorized 70 items totaling nearly $397 million in state expenditures. (more…)

Many iPhone users are checking their Weather app today and seeing a 100% chance of snow, with amounts ranging from 11 to 18 inches for Thursday, depending on where they live.
