Germantown

Tony is believed to be with 15-year-old Fernanda Azevedo, who was last seen on Friday, February 24, 2023, at approximately 6 p.m., at her residence on Bronco Court in Germantown.  Fernanda is approximately 5-feet, 3-inches tall and weights 130 lbs. She has brown eyes and blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a black Adidas jacket and black Adidas pants.  Police and family are concerned for their welfare.

Bethesda

Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 14-year-old from Bethesda. Jayleen Chavez was last seen on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at approximately 2 p.m., in the 10300 block of Strathmore Hall St.

Chavez is approximately 5-feet tall and weighs 100 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt. Police and family are concerned for her welfare.


Bethesda

Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who committed multiple thefts from autos and credit card fraud in the Bethesda area. Detectives have released surveillance photos of the suspect.  On Wednesday, August 31, 2022, a victim reported that his credit cards were stolen out of his car and were used a Home Depot in Bethesda to make fraudulent purchases of gift cards.

On Sunday, September 11, 2022, the victim, who is a Fauquier County, VA resident, stated that her credit cards were stolen out of her car, in the overnight hours of September 10, into September 11, 2022. Her stolen credit cards were then used at a Home Depot in Bethesda on September 11. Detectives determined that the suspect used the stolen credit cards to purchase gift cards.


White Oak

The suspect is described as a Black male, thin build, approximately 18 to 20-years-old, 5-feet, 10-inches to six-feet tall, with short black hair. He was carrying a white backpack with black trim and wearing a black ski mask, black coat with fur around the hood black jeans and black shoes.


Fairland

Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police- Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 15-year-old from the Fairland area of Silver Spring.  Belinda Garcia-Bonilla was last seen on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at approximately 10 p.m., in the 14300 block of Fairdale Rd.

Garcia-Bonilla is approximately 5-feet, 3-inches tall and weighs 125 pounds. She has brown eyes and shoulder length hair that is dyed blonde. It is unknown what she was last seen wearing. She was also carrying a red and blue backpack and a separate pink backpack.  Police and family are concerned for her welfare.


Silver Spring

Per MCPD: A Silver Spring man has been indicted by a Montgomery County grand jury on charges related to a double fatal collision that occurred on Sunday, July 10, 2022, in the intersection of Georgia Avenue and May Street. 24-year-old Daniel Alberto Aviles Gonzalez has been charged with two counts of grossly negligent manslaughter, two counts of vehicular homicide while under the influence of alcohol, driving suspended, and driving on a learner’s permit without supervision.

The investigation by the Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit revealed that Aviles Gonzalez was driving his Jeep Grand Cherokee south on Georgia Avenue when he struck a Toyota Camry turning left from northbound Georgia Avenue onto May Street. 79-year-old Prabodh Vaid and 77-year-old Nirmala Vaid, a married couple who lived at the corner of May Street and Georgia Ave, died at the scene of the collision. The investigation determined that Aviles Gonzalez was driving at a high rate of speed while under the influence of alcohol.


Aspen Hill

Espinales is approximately 5-feet, 3-inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She has pierced ears and a nose piercing. It is unknown what she was last seen wearing. Police and family are concerned for her welfare.

Rockville

Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 2nd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 56-year-old from Rockville.  Neil Bernstein was last heard from on Friday, February 17, 2023, at approximately 9:53 a.m. He is missing from Twinbrook Parkway in Rockville.

Bernstein is approximately 5-feet, 9-inches tall and weighs 150 lbs. He has short grey and brown hair and green eyes.  Police and family are concern for his welfare.


Damascus

Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police- Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 13-year-old from Gaithersburg. Kiesha Vogelsang was last seen on Monday, February 20, 2023, at approximately 10 a.m., in the 900 block of Clopper Road.

Kiesha is 5-feet, 9-inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. She has dark brown curly hair and brown eyes. She was last seen carrying a gray backpack and wearing blue jeans, a black zip up jacket and black Crocs. She has a birth mark on her nose and wears glasses that have a pink frame.


Germantown

Per MCPD: Officers from the Montgomery Country Department of Police – 6th District Community Action Team (DCAT) have arrested and charged 36-year-old Quinnel Martin of Germantown for possessing a controlled dangerous substance and fleeing police. On Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at approximately 1:42 p.m., officers were patrolling the area of West Diamond Avenue when they observed a gold Toyota Camry committing a traffic violation. Officers attempted a traffic stop, but the driver, later identified as Martin, did not immediately stop the vehicle. In the area of Clopper Road and Firstfield Road, Martin hit a white Toyota Rav4 and then collided with a tow truck. Martin then got out of his vehicle and attempted to run away. Officers quickly apprehended him and located a large amount of methamphetamine/MDMA also known as, “Molly,” and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Martin was arrested and transported to the Central Processing Unit, where he has been charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and obstructing and hindering a police investigation.


MoCo Government

Chief Marcus Jones confirmed earlier this month in testimony before the Public Safety Committee of the County Council that the Department is currently down 129 sworn officers.
