Last week, Historic White’s Ferry announced they would be ceasing operations immediately after the Circuit Court of Loudon County ruled that no public landing exists on the Virginia Shoreline at White’s Ferry Road, prohibiting the ferry from landing at that location in Virginia.

7 Locks Brewery to Release Controversial “Surrender Donald” Beer, Responds to Political Backlash

7 Locks Brewery at 12227 Wilkins Avenue in Rockville will be releasing a limited edition of their locally popular Surrender Dorothy beer, renamed Surrender Donald.

Congressman Jamie Raskin and Sarah Bloom Raskin announced the passing of their son, Thomas (Tommy) Bloom Raskin, this morning at their home in Takoma Park. Tommy was 25.

After graduating from Montgomery Blair High School, Tommy attended and graduated from Amherst College. He was a second-year student at Harvard Law School.

Montgomery County Councilmember Evan Glass tweeted this afternoon (December 31, 2020) that MoCo has distributed almost 3,000 Moderna COVID-19 vaccines in the last 48 hours, in addition to the Pfizer vaccine which has been making the rounds with hospital frontline staff across the county.

It also appears that nursing homes will be receiving doses through a direct partnership with retail pharmacies in the area; Glass noted that this process was being coordinated directly by the state of Maryland.
