This week we’ve got two more recipes from the 1988 Montgomery County Fair Cookbook.  If you have any MoCo themed recipes for us to try, send them to [email protected] and we will share them here. If we end up using your recipe, we’ll send you a nice gift! Next week we’ll moving away from the retro style dishes and we’ll be doing recipes provided by the Montgomery County Beekeepers Association.

The cake was a little dry, but that was expected. The form held up well when I flipped it out of the pan (I’ve made traditional Pineapple Upside Down Cakes where I wasn’t as fortunate.)

New Burger Concept, Frank Burger’s Place, Coming to Wheaton

Frank’s Burger Place is hoping to have its doors open for business by the end of 2020.  Owner Chef Pedro Matamoros told us that he wants to bring a fresh and local burger place to the area that doesn’t cost a fortune.  “We don’t want to charge $15 for a burger like the other places.”

The Washington Football Team may not be tearing it up this year, but they find themselves within striking distance for a division crown amidst a group of teams that have underwhelmed.

One of the big reasons for the WFT’s success this season has been their defensive play; one of their biggest stars this season has been Kendall Fuller, a 2013 graduate of Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney, MD.
