The other location is in Bethesda. We were told there are no current plans to close the current Germantown location.

Quickway Japanese Hibachi has already put “coming soon” signage up in the location that was formerly home to Fashion Cleaners in the Shoppes of Olney shopping center, between CVS and Bubbles Hair Salon. Fashion Cleaners closed this past spring after 8 years in the location.

Quickway describes itself as bringing the Teppanyaki cooking technique to a quick service restaurant setting with cooked to order hibachi dishes. This will be the regional chain’s sixth MoCo location, with over 30 restaurants across the DMV. The latest MoCo location opened just under a year ago in Stone Mill Square (Korean Korner shopping center).

Back in April we let you know that Shouk would be opening two MoCo locations. Tomorrow will be the first of the two openings, as the Rockville location will have its Grand Opening at 5568 Randolph Road in the Montrose Shopping Center (in the former Spring Mill Bread Co. location next to MOM’s Organic Market) at 11am.

Located just off Rockville Pike in a 2,000-square-foot, 20-seat space, Shouk Rockville will serve the same menu of plant-based, certified kosher street food available at its other locations, including the award-winning Shouk Burger, featured on the Food Network and The Washington Post. Inspired by the world’s liveliest street markets, Shouk’s food is crafted from fresh vegetables, beans, grains, and lots of spices; no labs, nothing processed or engineered. Shouk Rockville will offer carryout, delivery, and onsite indoor and outdoor dining.

Briggs Chaney

This morning we were told by a reliable source that Chipotle would be moving in to the recently closed Little Caesars location in the Briggs Chaney MarketPlace shopping center.

Little Caesars closed the Briggs Location early this past summer and many local residents have wondered what would be taking its place. We are told the location would be a walk-up/drive-thru only Chipotle, which isn’t common in the area.
