RanKen Noodle House Now Open in Kentlands
RanKen Noodle House is now open at 133 Commerce Square Pl in Gaithersburg. The restaurant is located in the new paseo, between Berries & Bowls and MOD pizza, at 133 Commerce Square Place.

11/9/21 Update: We were told by representatives from HalfSmoke that they are now projecting to open at the beginning of December.
HalfSmoke was the first restaurant of its kind to serve gourmet sausages via an assembly line format. Their sausages and toppings can be fully customized to create over 50,000 variations. Their menu also features craft beer, mac and cheese balls, tater tots, milkshakes, funnel cakes, wine, cocktails, and more.

Playa Bowls is Coming to Gaithersburg
Playa Bowls (Açaí Bowls, Pitaya, Coconut Bowls, smoothies, etc.) opened its first store just over 6 years ago in the Jersey Shore and has since expanded to almost 100 locations.

Tobacco Hut Now Open, The Party Place Opening Soon (Burtonsville)
One of the two newest additions to Burtonsville Town Center is now open, with its next door neighbor opening very soon.
According to the restaurant’s Facebook they will be opening mid-July or August. They will offer indoor and outdoor air-side dining and serve breakfast, lunch, and grab ‘n go sandwiches.

Fuji Japan Sushi & Teriyaki Grill Coming to Layhill Shopping Center
Back in November we let you know that a new sushi restaurant would be coming to the Layhill Shopping Center (14314 Layhill Road), in between Abraham’s Custom Tailor (next to Sang’s Nail Salon) and Papa Nick’s/Sole D’Italia.

New Starbucks in Gaithersburg Update
Starbucks began construction on their new location at The Spectrum in Gaithersburg back in February. Below are some photos of current progress on the site.
The founders of Cava, Cava Mezze, and Julii are bringing their newest concept to Pike & Rose and they’re currently working hard to try to open in September (a couple photos of the progress can be seen below).
Melina will open in the 909 Rose office building across from REI.
Corner Pizza & Subs Taking Over Old Classic Bakery Location in Gaithersburg
Signage is up for a new restaurant named Corner Pizza & Subs in Gaithersburg S.C. (that’s the name of the shopping center), behind MoCo’s only Bruster’s.
